Approved Mental Health Professional CPD Update #1 – ‘Fundamentals’

Course Outline:

This course will look at key legal developments in the field of mental health.

It will include a round-up of recent key cases, as well as any new guidance. The course will explore the Mental Health Act 2025, its implementation timetable and the impact the Act is likely to have on the role, duties and powers of an AMHP.

During the day delegates will examine challenges they are currently facing, as well as those which are likely to occur in the near to mid-term. Delegates will also have the opportunity to meet and discuss these matters with other AMHPs while achieving a proportion of their yearly CPD requirement.
