We are delighted to announce that the partnership between Bond Solon and NHS England and NHS Improvement has been shortlisted for two HSJ Partnership Awards:

Capture - Awards (1)

The programme Making Safeguarding “Core Business” recognises the outstanding dedication to improving healthcare.

The judging panel comprised a diverse range of highly regarded figures across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. To be shortlisted as a finalist for these awards, despite tough competition from hundreds of brilliant applicants, is a mark of real achievement for the Bond Solon and NHS England and NHS Improvement Partnership.

The project has been selected based on their diligence, ambition and the positive impact that the project has had on both practitioners and patients within the health care industry.

About the Partnership

Safeguarding is everybody’s business and is fundamental to high-quality patient care, and the human cost of getting safeguarding wrong is high.
However, safeguarding has historically been seen as an ‘add-on’ to clinical practice, with varying levels of knowledge across the country, leaving unknown numbers at risk.

To address this, NHS England and Improvement partnered with Bond Solon to design and deliver a nationwide training programme for safeguarding:

The partnership aims to instil the core knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, to align and reinforce the attitude to safeguarding, ensuring that it is not seen as ‘additional’ work, but paramount to protecting the most vulnerable in society.
