Course Outline
This course is designed as a refresher for expert witnesses who have already attended the Courtroom Skills course two or more years ago.
For many experts, giving evidence is an infrequent occurrence, but it is essential that they keep their skills honed in this area, just in case the need arises. Coupled with this, experts need to be able to demonstrate to instructing parties that they possess the skills to give clear and effective oral evidence if required.
You will be part of a small group undertaking this training, which includes a brief refresher of key courtroom skills. An experienced lawyer and trainer will cross-examine each delegate on a report they have submitted before the training and provide feedback, enabling delegates to enhance their competencies when giving expert evidence in court and other legal forums.
This CPD course will enable you to keep your courtroom skills up-to-date, and help you think about areas for improvement in your evidence-giving as well as what you are doing well.
