The Speakers:
Rosalind Davey
Rosalind Davey is a partner in the Employment & Benefits Practice of leading South African law firm Bowmans, with offices in six African countries. She is an experienced and trusted advisor, a litigation strategist and a thought leader. She acts for clients on matters relating to employment litigation including urgent applications, interdicts, reviews, dismissal disputes, arbitrations and general litigation.
Rosalind’s extensive experience also extends to a wide range of non-litigious employment law matters and matters of a commercial nature with employment implications such as strategic planning, restructuring and outsourcing.
She also has wide-ranging experience in general employment law, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, retrenchments, performance management, running and chairing disciplinary hearings and running arbitrations and is a seasoned investigator.
Rosalind frequently acts as a judge in the Labour Court of South Africa.
Chloë Loubser
Chloё is a Knowledge and Learning Lawyer in the Bowmans Cape Town office. She specialises in Employment Law and Data Protection within the Employment & Benefits practice. She holds BSocSci and LLB (magna cum laude) degrees from the University of Cape Town.
Chloё’s current role in the practice involves the curation and imparting of knowledge on employment law and data protection issues to her colleagues and clients. Her experience in employment law includes but is not limited to advising clients on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures, consulting agreements, and restraints of trade, as well as advising on dismissals and corporate retrenchments and workplace health and safety.
